The first race of the Finish 2b Fit Progressive Race Series is a 1 Mile run in Prince William County’s Locust Shade Park. The park is between the front and back gates of the Quantico Marine Base, and is a great place to visit any time of the year for some outdoor recreation. This road course will be a good way to warm up the legs after the holiday season. You haven’t forgotten your New Year’s resolution already have you?
For those of you who are avid runners, you might be saying, “why should I only run a 1 Miler?” Well, I say, “how fast can you run the 1 Mile?” When was the last time you really tried to set a new personal best for the 1 Mile course? Besides, this will be a good way to earn bragging rights over your running partner. We encourage you to run the whole series, this is about challenging yourself! Stick with it, and on June 2nd after you finish the 10K in Prince William Forest, you’ll thank yourself.
